A weekend in (and around) Fredericksburg… (part 2)

Saturday

Nothing opens until at least 10 AM.  That makes for a relaxed and slow morning.  Warm up a muffin, get some orange juice and make sure the coffee is on because coffee drinkers can be cranky.  We did get rolling around 10, headed back up 290 to Grape Creek Vineyards.

A weekend in (and around) Fredericksburg… part 1

Liz and I spent the Memorial Day weekend in the company of great friends, traveling the Texas Hill Country.  It has been almost almost 6 years since our first trip to Fredericksburg.  This time around, we began our planning a little earlier and rented a house so we could all stay together.  It was a nice 4-bedroom place about two blocks off Downtown Fredericksburg.

Where does the time go?

Wow!  Have I ignored this site or what?  4 months sure went by quick.  We’ve been out and about and I just kept putting this off.  Back in February, we took the family to the Sherwood Forest Faire for it’s (and our second year).  This was a day for the kids and I made a point to not say “no”… at least, not too often.

Sarah Lynn turns 6

Sarah Lynn had her 6th birthday party on Sunday.  While she isn’t officially 6 until December 16th, Liz is graduating the following weekend so this worked out better.  Sarah had a great turnout for the party and everyone had a lot of fun.  We went to Grand Station Entertainment in College Station.  Spent the entire afternoon bowling and playing games.  All the kids really loved the glow-in-the-dark bowling.  Even the tables glow, which is pretty cool.
