Christmas in the Park
DrewH on Dec 13th 2010
This Friday past, the City of College Station began the “Christmas in the Park” celebration. Free hot chocolate, visit with Santa, Hay rides, live music and dancing, and of course, the light display. Liz and I took the kids and met up with a few of my co-workers.

Fall Kickball Begins
DrewH on Sep 28th 2010
Last week Wednesday was the opening of the fall kickball league in College Station. The “T Dotters” have reformed with some new members. We started off with a double-header and unfortunately, despite some rather good kicking and fielding, we lost both games. Ace cub-reporter Sarah Lynn was on-site, in the dug-out with the team through every heart-breaking, muscle spasm-ing kick and pitch.

Ring Day in Aggieland
DrewH on Sep 28th 2010
September 17th was Ring Day and Liz earned her Aggie Senior Ring. The party started around 3 PM and didn’t stop until around midnight. Liz celebrated her ring dunking with friends and family and I’ve got the pictures to prove it.
We started off on Campus at the Alumni Center to pick up her ring. It was very bright and shiny. After that, we headed over to the Chicken to enjoy a couple beers and some soda. A quick stop at the house to pick up some food and drinks and we high-tailed it over to Liz’s Mother’s place to join the party-in-progress. After that, the night is mostly a blur spiced with jalapenos and bacon.

What happens when you give the children the camera…

or, So I joined a Kickball league.
A group of co-workers, friends, and family formed a kickball team and joint the Summer Adult Kickball league. We’ve played 8 games and amassed a 3-5 record. Not too bad considering it’s our first time out. This Wednesday begins the single-elimination tournament play. If we lose this, the summer season is over. Of course, there is a fall season.
Earlier this month, I let Celeste and Sarah have the camera and free reign in the dugout (or as Sarah calls it, the “sweat pit”. I kinda like the results.
