I’ve posted up some of the images I’ve captured this week.  For Mother’s Day, Liz, me, and the kids went out to Liz’s mother’s place and went fishing.  Celeste pretty much caught the only fish…  I’m not sure, but it may have been the only fish in the tank.

It was a nice evening and a pleasent way to spend Mother’s Day..  I walked around the field and took some pictures of the old tractor sitting there.

I really like how this photo turned out.  Sarah was holding the flower and I knew I wanted to really limit the depth of field and blur the background a lot.  I didn’t really think about how her shirt would play into the overall image though.

This past weekend turned out a lot busier than I thought.  Liz and I had planned to go out to Lake Bryan Friday evening and spend some time with her mom and Stan.  They were cooking at a BBQ competition over the weekend.  Friday night was going to be a margarita and fajitas competition with the regular cook-off starting Saturday (first turn-in at 10 AM).  Stan’s cooking partner had to cancel at the last minute due to a family emergency and I was asked to fill in.  I really couldn’t say no, and it is a lot of fun to BBQ, especially for competition.
